She’s pregnant, and it shows.

It’s not difficult to imagine
the foetus,
curled up and growing
inside the quarter moon,
that subtly changes her silhouette.
Snuggled in the warmth
of her belly,
baby’s heartbeat,
sets the rhythm
of her life,
